We are currently seeking aSenior Geotechnical Engineer 3to work within our mining sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company. This is afull-time or part-timeposition located in ourPhoenix, AZoffice orvirtually within Arizona .DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will: Lead project execution to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements. Direct projects from scoping through final deliverables. Prepare planning level and final designs for tailings storage facilities and mine components including stormwater designs, haul roads, leach pads, and mine closure plans including detailed design. Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams and help develop junior staff team members. Work with and support technical leads on all aspects of affiliated projects to address client goals and objectives. Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client deliverables. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering desirable but not required. 15+ years of professional services consulting experience that includes execution of feasibility, prefeasibility and/or trade-off studies and engineering evaluations, mine design from development planning to closure, and presentation of technical solutions in a variety of written and oral formats. Direct experience with mining and the mining industry required. Demonstrated ability to manage work on time and within budget. Professional registration (PE) required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations. Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software. Strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detail is expected. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to take personal ownership of projects and see them through to completion are a must.
