Position Summary We are currently searching for a candidate who can drive project management, strategic planning, and excellence in the execution of the Asset/Indication Medical Strategy team (AIMS). AIMS drives the medical strategy and execution for a specific asset and/or disease area (indication), ensuring its deliverables address critical unmet needs of patients and healthcare systems worldwide. The role requires leadership to the AIMS project managers (PMs) and management to plan, prepare, and execute multiple complex and high-profile initiatives. Importantly, the D MPM will partner with the Global Head of Strategy and Operations, Medical Affairs, to identify gaps and develop strategies to address and oversee solutions for seamless execution/implementation. The D MPM will oversee the AIMS approach across the therapeutic areas, ensuring consistency and fostering best practices. This role involves building a vibrant AIMS PM community focused on continuous improvement, developing comprehensive training programs, leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance productivity and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and efficiency metrics. The Director PM will also be responsible for updating the AIMS playbook, guiding teams, and managing the core AIMS deliverables and SharePoint documentation. The ideal candidate can demonstrate their strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively, and act decisively to support the AIMS objectives and deliverables. Experience in leading complex and high-priority work in line with business priorities is a key skill for this role, in addition to being adaptable, collaborative, and motivated to find solutions and reach goals. Key Responsibilities Lead and guide the team of Medical AIMS PMs to ensure consistency across the teams and therapeutic areas. Drive continuous improvement by sharing and implementing best practices within the AIMS core teams. Guide teams in adopting and executing AIMS strategies effectively. Track AIMS key performance indicators (KPIs) and efficiency metrics. Provide regular updates on performance and suggest areas for improvement. Update the AIMS playbook with the latest best practices and guidelines. Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for AIMS-related activities. Train and guide teams in following the AIMS playbook and ensure adherence to standards. Manage and oversee all deliverables that come out of AIMS. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred (MSc, PharmD, MBA). Experience Requirements: 10+ years in pharmaceutical research, development, medical affairs, or commercialization. A solid grounding in science is crucial. Highly organized and driven individual with the capability to work independently and efficiently with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing high-performing teams, with a strong emphasis on strategic communication, complex problem-solving, and advanced project management skills. Extensive project management experience, including team supervision, budget oversight, metrics analysis, and executive-level communication. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to engage directly and productively with team members and executive management, managing and prioritizing multiple critical priorities. Ability to lead and participate in complex scientific discussions, developing and summarizing clear follow-up action plans and executing them effectively. Proven track record in building relationships, leading strategic initiatives and programs, and collaborating across divisions with individuals from diverse business backgrounds and cultures.
