Mobile Engineer Posted 4 Days Ago Full Time Less than 10 Applies Knoxville, TN 37921 AREA: EAST KNOXVILLE, TN & BRISTOL, TN Salary: $68,640 - $76,960 Start time before 6a-8a (8 hour workday) The Mobile Technician will perform preventive maintenance work within a given geographic territory. This will include hands-on work to complete the necessary work within JLL standards and guidelines. Essential Functions: The position will include hands-on repair & maintenance work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, door & gate systems, building envelope systems, grounds and parking lots, interior finish systems, lighting systems, and various other R&M tasks associated with the operation of a commercial property. Perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Maintenance and repair service work on HVAC, water chillers, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and various other building systems to maintain the properties in peak operational condition. Identify energy savings opportunities at facilities including system and operational changes that can decrease the property's energy consumption. Perform routine building maintenance, plumbing, and other tasks as necessary. Independently plan work assignments, perform duties with a minimum of direct supervision, and assist as a helper in other trades and in the general maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds. The position is truck-based and includes travel to various locations within a specified geography. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. Will require daily interaction with teams in person, on the phone, and via email to perform the job. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA): Hands-on skills and knowledge to complete required repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (including pumps, motors, air handlers, automation/controls systems, and associated electrical systems) using industry standard tools and in accordance with all codes, laws, and regulations. Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot and self-perform basic plumbing & electrical repairs/maintenance. Effectively use computers and computer programs (including Microsoft Office Suite), navigate web-based applications, and use handheld electronic devices (Tablet, Laptop, cell phone, etc.). Experience and proficiency with using CMMS for work order management. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively manage diverse relationships with team members, contractors, building occupants, and clients. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Experience and Technical Skills: Required: Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment repair, and maintenance. High school graduate or GED. Universal EPA 608 Certification. Preferred: Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application. Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology. Experience working in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities.
