Day to Day Business Automation plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth at Indeed by providing essential tools and technologies that enhance productivity and operational efficiency. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team. The Business Automation team comprises capability areas supporting both corporate and go-to-market functions, with a focus on developing internal and external-facing customer solutions. Responsibilities Manage the program plan effectively, ensuring the activities are completed on time and with quality and meet the organization's goals. Work closely with engineering teams, product, UX and other cross-functional functions to align efforts and resolve roadblocks. Manage program reviews with Engineering, Product, UX and Science leadership to review program progress, resolving issues, mitigating risks and driving recommendations. Define and drive programs and projects with a focus on engineering excellence which aligns with business and organization goals. Give regular updates to leadership and key partners on status, challenges and opportunities. Meet with cross-functional partners regularly and get feedback about their perception of the program. Develop and refine strategic processes to drive better quality and engineering excellence best practices within the organization. Plan and manage a large program consisting of many complex projects. Drive delivery of project work through engineering and product managers. Step in to manage projects or aspects of projects within the program you own, as needed. Manage your program team and deliver value. Partner across different cross-functional groups with senior partners and other program managers to define the roadmap and execute against the roadmap. Mitigate risk by conducting assessments across the program to establish if the implementation plans meet partner requirements and will achieve strategic priorities. Use communications effectively to inform and influence your intended audiences. Proactively network with relevant partners across Indeed to advocate for the needs and success of your program. Identify core problems or opportunities within the organization. Know the root cause and impacts for the project and other teams. Communicate and partner with the right people to integrate timely solutions. Help your project team or other more junior program/project managers to refine their project management skills and behaviors. Give opportunities to others to help close their skill gaps. Agile in a fast-paced environment; able to thrive within ambiguity. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of experience working as a Technical Program Manager with experience leading complex cross-functional technical initiatives. Experience in influencing senior management and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives. Experience handling multi-year programs that are highly technical e.g. Infrastructure migration, Platform programs, Re-architecture, etc. Talk about technical matters with business people and business matters with technical people. Experience in organizations leveraging different product development methodologies, and have in-depth expertise with specific agile methods and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban. Worked closely with engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle. Successful at getting buy-in for your ideas with a demonstrated affinity for metrics. Acknowledge customer-centricity and run projects and programs with that mindset. Naturally exude team-building, motivating, and conflict-resolving qualities. Salary Range Transparency US Remote 133,000 - 193,000 USD per year Austin Metro Area - 133,000 - 193,000 per year Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
