Lead Electrical Engineer - Electrical Contracting A well-established electrical contracting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer/Lead Engineer to join its team. The company operates across multiple divisions, including heavy construction, interior projects, and data communications, and has a long-standing reputation in the industry. Many of its projects are in the public infrastructure sector, working with major agencies and authorities. Responsibilities: Review design documents (plans and specifications) to understand project scope Evaluate equipment submittals (electrical and MEP) for coordination and integration Develop 3D BIM models for coordination with other trades using AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, and Navisworks Participate in trade coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts Create and manage an engineering schedule aligned with project timelines Produce detailed 2D shop drawings from 3D BIM models for approval Update and revise shop drawings based on review comments Provide working drawings and technical support to field personnel Document contract modifications and as-built conditions for record-keeping Qualifications: Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks preferred Knowledge of the National Electrical Code A four-year degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to contribute to impactful projects in the electrical construction industry.
