Logistics and Distribution Technician III - York Hospital - DaysLocation: WellSpan Health, York, PASchedule: Full TimeFull time (80 hours biweekly)Monday - Friday 5a-130pWeekend and holiday rotationStarting pay rate: $17.00/hr + pay for experienceGeneral SummaryThis position will hold Laundry Duties as well as Logistics & Distribution Duties.Performs a variety of tasks to support the system-wide mission of Logistics and Distribution including, but not limited to, issuing supplies, maintaining inventories and compiling stock records, receiving, preparing items for shipment and/or return to vendor, etc.. Performs data entry into various systems. Investigates and reconciles data issues to ensure reporting and accounting accuracy. Collects/compiles data, performs data analysis, prepares and presents reports and recommends changes based on analysis.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions: Performs a variety of tasks to support the system-wide mission of Logistics and Distribution including, but not limited to, issuing supplies, maintaining inventories and compiling stock records, receiving, preparing items for shipment and/or return to vendor, etc. Collects/compiles data, performs data analysis, prepares and presents reports and recommends changes based on analysis. Assists in implementing changes. Participates in evaluation of tools, software, upgrades, etc. Processes requisitions/orders in timely and accurate fashion to support on-going demand. Reviews orders for accuracy. Prepares, reviews and edits purchase orders to ensure accuracy when stock items reach reorder point. Communicates same to vendors with expected delivery dates. Maintains contact with vendors and/or Procurement & Contracting regarding status of purchase orders and product changes. Coordinates with vendors to ensure delivery dates and logistics requirements are met. Processes change orders, notifying vendors of material and quantity requirement revisions. Works with vendors to find appropriate substitute items if a stock level becomes critical. Confirms suitability with the appropriate buyer or clinician if necessary. Organizes and maintains records pertinent to a perpetual inventory, min/max stock levels, quantity issues and other data. Modifies quotas or inventories as necessary. Works with department managers from all entities to coordinate requisitioning, ordering and distribution of inventoried materials, supplies and equipment. Controls ordering and requisitioning process to ensure inventory levels are in keeping with usage. Laundry Duties Common Expectations: Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards. Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Compiles data for and prepares regularly scheduled or special reports, analyses and statements. QualificationsMinimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Required Work Experience: Less than 1 year Related experience. Required Driver's License Statement:Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to read and write the English language.
