We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team in our Devens facility. Job summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production processes by effectively managing schedules, inventory levels, and supply chain operations. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing systems and demand planning to optimize production flow and meet customer demands. Responsibilities Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels. Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure timely availability of materials and resources. Monitor inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels. Utilize JobBoss and other systems to track production progress and adjust schedules as necessary. Analyze data to forecast future production needs and adjust plans accordingly. Implement Lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address scheduling conflicts or changes in demand. Experience Proven experience in production scheduling or a related field within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. Familiarity with inventory management techniques and tools. Proficiency in using planning systems, preferably JobBoss for tracking production processes. Experience with demand planning and forecasting methodologies is highly desirable. Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in scheduling tasks. Minimum Requirements Thorough understanding or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
