Essential Tasks for the Account Manager - Biofuels Client Relationship Management: - Serve as a primary point of contact for Biofuels clients, ensuring their needs are met - Support senior account managers in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships to enhance client retention and satisfaction - Assist with client communications, including responding to inquiries, addressing client needs, and providing updates - Work with management to help navigate through project complexities or issues the client is facing - Gather and analyze client feedback to improve delivery service Sales and Business / Revenue Generation - Help identify new business opportunities within existing accounts - Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and sales materials - Conduct market research to support business growth initiatives - Collaborating with commercial leads to identify growth opportunities and propose value- added services to clients - Collaborate with internal teams across regions to cross-sell - Satisfying Key Performance Indicators as set by management Technical Expertise - In-depth knowledge of Biofuels industry and market - Staying updated on industry regulations and certification requirements, ensuring clients meet sustainability and compliance standards - Clear understanding of major industry trends/policies impacting US-based stakeholder groups - Familiarity with corporate ESG strategies and key issues that could impact Biofuels-related service offerings Project Account Management, Support & Coordination: - Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of projects related to client accounts - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services - Meet regularly with key client stakeholders to elevate the partnership experience - Monitor multiple project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and escalating issues as needed - Analyze client accounts and market trends to identify risks and growth opportunities - Provide feedback on project team performance to support annual reviews Contract & Documentation Management - Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining client contracts and agreements - Ensure all client documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly stored - Support the invoicing and payment tracking process - Negotiate terms and conditions of proposals and contracts to align with company objectives with support from management - Resolve issues related to contract delivery Financial Management: - Deliver transparent and timely financial reporting for project execution, including income and cost analysis - Manage project budgets and conduct financial forecasting to ensure alignment with project goals - Closely monitor and address issues relating to scope creep Quality Assurance: - Take accountability for the quality and output of all assigned projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards Business Development: - Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and drive revenue growth by understanding clients business and industry needs and providing tailored solutions Reporting & Analysis: - Assist in analyzing client data to identify trends and improvement areas - Maintain accurate records in CRM and project management tools and any other tools used by the company - Prepare regular reports on accounts status, forecast, and key performance indicators (KPIs) Non-essential tasks for the Account Manager - Biofuels - Assist in organizing corporate events, client meetings, and trade shows - Support administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings and managing calendars - Participate in team training and professional development activities - Provide backup support to other departments as needed - Represent the team at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events - Conduct occasional market research trends and competitors to inform business strategies
