Empress by Boon, located in the heart of Chinatown is looking for a fine dining host with experience in concierge. The position is Tuesday through Saturday, from 3:30PM - 9:30PM. Job Summary:We are seeking warm, professional, and highly organized Hosts to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a Host, you will create a welcoming and memorable first impression while managing reservations, seating, and the overall flow of the dining experience. Your role is essential in setting the tone for exceptional hospitality. Duties/Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a polished, friendly first impression. Manage reservations and walk-ins using the restaurant's booking system. Organize and maintain an accurate waitlist while communicating wait times to guests. Escort guests to their tables and ensure a smooth seating process. Assist with special requests, VIP accommodations, and guest inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area. Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure seamless guest experiences. Uphold all restaurant policies, health, and safety regulations. are highly organized; able to work with little supervision; have a passion for hospitality and the desire to create unique experiences for all; come offering solutions to challenges they face; love the excitement of the restaurnat industry; have attention to detail; Supervisory Responsibilities: Education and Experience: High School GED required. Prior experience as a Host or in a similar front-of-house leadership role preferred. Proficiency in reservation management systems (e.g., OpenTable, PLEASE ADD). Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. A warm, professional, and polished demeanor with a passion for hospitality. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Food handler certification is required. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the restaurant. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
