Overview Placement Type: Temporary Salary: $50-55/hr + Benefits Start Date: 03.31.2025 Aquent Studios is adding to our growing team! We are looking for an Art Director with extensive experience in the Beauty Industry! Your portfolio must showcase examples of promotional packaging as well as merchandising! This postiion requires you to be on-site 2 to 3 days a week in New York City The Art Director will work on creating and translating global brand assets across all promotional displays and packaging in US retailer stores. The Art Director will partner closely with cross functional teams to understand display strategies, communication objectives, and all in-store visual communications, including graphics and structures. In this role, you will also play a key part in ensuring our US packaging matches global vision and is compliant with US regulations. Key Job Accountabilities: Translate the brand image into promotional displays and packaging. (70% displays & 30% promo/US packaging) Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, vendors, etc.) to ensure alignment with merchandising strategies and communication objectives Manage project timelines, communicate effectively, and proactively address any challenges Work with external suppliers: retoucher, production house and comp house...etc. Manage and execute tasks involved with packaging localization for US markets. Day-to-day responsibilities: Translating Global vision and advertisement into US mass market promotional displays and packaging for Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Ulta etc. Designing a look and feel for seasonal/themed promotional vision displays and packaging, utilizing available assets. Managing promotional displays from start to finish on multiple programs, working and coordinating with multiple teams. Structures include: Counter Units, Floor stands, Endcap Towers, Hotspots etc. Coordinate and work collaboratively with CPD brands to create and execute CPD displays. Working with packaging team to ensure Global packaging concept is translated into US packaging correctly. Responsibilities includes mechanical approvals and digital proofing. Design promotional packaging for retailers (CostCo, Sam's Club, etc) and seasonal moments, execute for production: color work, proofing, press OK. Source and manage comp requests for Marketing and Sales teams (twice a year) Skills Required: Proven experience in creating comprehensive brand expression (8+ years). Must be able to do quality hands-on work and be flexible with frequent changes in direction. Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, problem solve. Pay close attention to detail. Must be able to assess priorities, organizing workloads. Great typography skills and knowledge of print process. Must be a team player but needs to be able to work independently where necessary. Expert knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Proficiency of all relevant computer programs (Mac).
