Job Title:Assistant Director, Regional Campus Academic Recruitment Strategies Department:Strategic Enrollment | Strategic Enrollment Administration Reporting to the Director of Regional Campus Recruitment Strategies and Initiatives, the Assistant Director for Regional Campus Academic Recruitment Strategies leads the programming and activities that promote recruiting and yielding students to Engineering Technology and high growth potential discipline interest areas (such as STEM, sustainability related, and other fields) on the regional campuses. The Assistant Director will lead the coordination of visits and outreach to schools and with community organizations. The Assistant Director will gain knowledge and expertise of each of the regional campuses and the demographics they serve; work with campus Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) and campus enrollment directors to identify key recruitment majors; meet with faculty, current, and former students who have experience in these majors to fully be able to articulate its value to prospective students and parents; work collaboratively with SEM Marketing and Strategic Communications to implement Engineering Technology and other potential discipline interest areas; partner with each regional campus to host targeted recruitment and yield events; develop and maintain positive relationships with high schools, school subject-matter teachers, community-based organizations, and community colleges. Use data to inform strategies and priorities in consultation with the Director of Regional Campus Recruitment Strategies and Initiatives. The Assistant Director will travel to high schools, community colleges, and college fairs to represent The Ohio State University. Organize and collaborate in the planning of on-campus and off-campus programs related to targeted academic programs. Organize recruitment calling/outreach campaigns to promote targeted academic programs. Make targeted recruitment calls to prospective students. Learn and use the CRM (Salesforce) system, Student Information System, and other technologies to perform timely and accurate entries into databases regarding student application information, call/email/targeted event activity and other processes. As a member of the Strategic Enrollment Management team at The Ohio State University, the Assistant Director will spend a significant amount of time on the regional campuses of Ohio State (Lima, Mansfield, Marion, and Newark) though their home office will be on the Columbus campus. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: counseling and corresponding with students, families, university departments, or other stakeholders regarding The Ohio State University application and enrollment policies, procedures, and general information over the phone, via email, and in person; conducting large and small-group presentations; learning and maintaining knowledge of the areas within the office and university to best direct questions from staff and guests; researching and resolving problems in a timely manner and escalating them when appropriate; assist with on and off campus recruitment events and projects; connect students with campus resources and other campus partners; participate as an active community member of The Ohio State Universitys SEM team through membership on committees; and complete special assignments and other duties as assigned. This is a three (3) year term position. Additional Information: MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Strong program implementation and organizational skills. Proficiency in desktop applications. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in undergraduate admissions recruitment for academic programs and open access institutions. Demonstrated success in collaboration and team building. Strong data analysis skills. Proficiency in CRM and other student information technologies. The salary range for this position is $55,100 - $72,400. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, units' available budget, and the candidates' qualifications.
