SummaryThe Material Operation Specialist is responsible for comprehensive material control, including material purchasing, customs clearance, inventory management, and logistics. About MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC.MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) is a tier 1 supplier of Battery System Assemblies (BSAs) and Electric Powertrain (PE) Systems, which are key parts to produce electric vehicles based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Material Purchasing Initial point of contact for Supplier supply chainMonitor Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process and daily requirement changesMonitor supply chain and shortageMaintain EDI process (MNAe ↔ Supplier) and conduct contingency plan when trouble with the Supply chain (Material Release, Supplier ASN, Payment advice)Work with Production Control on all trial builds and issue Purchase Orders (POs) to support the programs ensuring timely delivery and correct Engineering Change partsEnsure the accuracy of POs by maintaining SAP Material Master DataMaintain scheduling agreements, source lists, inventory, and other SAP functionsCompile information such as material inventories, materials used, or customer information so that status reports can be completedProvide requirements and inventory assessments to Suppliers to ensure efficient operations of all applicable module processesManage daily and monthly inventory levels and Engineering Change Order scheduleAnalyze and comprehend all part requirements by the specifications, frequency of use, outside variables, and packaging to maintain a minimum stock level on timeCommunication with CKD control team members in Korean HQEnter manual purchase orders as needed for new model year trial eventsCollaborate with Production Control, Logistics, QC, Procurement, and Development on issues as they ariseCommunicate with suppliers on current issues and changes (EC, Delivery, Payments, etc.)Monitor SAP for GR (Goods Receipt)/ GI (Goods Issue)/ Backlog statusMonitor all pricing changes and process retroactive adjustmentsReview invoices and packing slips for accuracyCollect and maintain Material index in ERP or manualDocument & analyze material movement and useComplete supplier cum verification process and claim with the supplier monthlyMinimize inventory levels on the balance out parts and when appropriate, submit an obsolescence claimMaintain Material index system data accuracy (System vs Actual)Material consumption tracking for material closing and inventory accuracy (weekly, monthly)Maintain Supplier portal system contents (GSCP)Follow up with IT team for SAP system improvement in user's aspectClose out OS&D items in SAP so they can be charged back to the responsible partyPrepare and send back damaged parts to the correct local supplierDispose of all items damaged by workers using approved methodsCustoms Clearance Initial point of contact for Customs clearance and Duty authoritiesMonitor import customs clearance statusMonitor change in US/Korean trade in SAPIn-house Logistics Check stock level regularly and analyze plan vs actual (communication with purchasing member)Ensure that proper FIFO protocolsMaintain high rack accuracy SAP vs actual (location, Parts, Quantity, FIFO date)Make sure there are sufficient parts stock levels in the warehouse to feed the production linesResponsible for overseeing the management of return packageReport on daily activities/problems/solutions etc.3R and 5S activitiesEnsures all inventory hold locations are properly allocated and visually identified (label, location)Performs cycle counts as requiredMaintain OS&D processAudits incoming material by MOBIS procedures for quantity of materialMaintain logistics documents with purchasing memberResponsible for maintaining logistics equipment and required2+ years of experience in the Just in Sequence material management field in the Automotive industry (material purchasing, customs clearance, inventory management, and logistics)Working experience with Hyundai / Kia / MOBIS / GlovisBachelor's Degree in EngineeringExperienced in automotive material purchasing and logistics fieldPreferred Experience: Strong sense of responsibilityDetailed knowledge of Just in Sequence processes and systems in the Automotive industrySAP (PP/MM/SD module) and MES experienceSolid Accounting/Finance/Mathematical skillsDetailed
