The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support and care to an individual that is Deaf and Autistic. He is a 36 year old male that lives in Escondido, Ca. As a DSP, you will assist our client with daily living activities and ensure his well-being while fostering independence and dignity.The work location will be at his house in Escondido.DutiesProvide direct support to client in his daily activities, including personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as , cleaning, meal preparation, etc.No bathing, No grooming, our client does this independently.Monitor his health and report any changes in condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.Assist client with transportation to nearby stores or appointments, ensuring his safety during outings or appointments.Engage client in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction.Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.Document client progress and any incidents accurately in accordance with company policies.Provide companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a trusting relationship.Offer support with and redirect any negative behavior that may arise.RequirementsPrevious experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, but not necessary.experience with ASL and Autism is preferred, but not necessaryCertification in CPR is a plus.Ability to perform patient monitoring tasks effectively.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and willingness to work as a dependable team member.Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations and initial drug screen.Highschool diplomavehicle to get to and from workIf you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and possess the necessary skills to provide exceptional support, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Direct Support Professional.If you are interested in an interview, Send resume to:Current Schedule needs:Saturdays: 7am-2pm/ 2pm-10pm (possible 10pm-6am)Sundays 7am-4pm/ 4pm-10pm (Possible 10pm-6am)Possible shifts that may become available soon:Tuesdays-Friday : 2pm-10pmIn March, we will have more open shifts to pick up as well.at times, we may require support in picking up or covering shifts.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $18.00 - $19.25 per hourExpected hours: 20 - 50 per weekBenefits:401(k)Paid time offSchedule:12 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftEvening shiftMorning shiftNight shiftOvernight shiftOvertimeWork Location: In person
