Inventory Control Associate Fort Mill, SC Position Overview: As an Inventory Control Associate, you will be a key player in ensuring seamless operations by monitoring line-side inventory stock levels in our production environment. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain optimal inventory levels that support production schedules, minimize inconsistencies, and ensure timely fulfillment of orders. Proficiency in utilizing a tablet for point-of-use transactions through the ERP system "Sage," combined with experience in barcode inventory systems, multi-bin inventory management, and line-side warehouse operations, is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Monitoring: Continuously monitor line-side inventory stock levels and replenish materials as needed to maintain an uninterrupted workflow. Multi-Bin Inventory Management: Efficiently organize and manage materials using a multi-bin inventory system to ensure quick access and optimal usage. Inventory Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits across multiple bins to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. ERP Transactions: Utilize tablet devices to perform point-of-use transactions through the ERP system "Sage" for material consumption and replenishment. Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to understand material requirements and adjust inventory levels across multiple bins accordingly. Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and swiftly resolve any supply chain issues related to multi-bin inventory management. Process Improvement: Implement and maintain inventory control procedures specific to a multi-bin system to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste, while assisting in process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification preferred. Proven experience in inventory management, specifically within a manufacturing or production environment, focusing on barcode inventory systems and multi-bin inventory management. Demonstrated proficiency in using tablet devices and ERP systems, with specific experience in "Sage" preferred. Strong understanding of barcode inventory systems and their application in tracking and managing inventory effectively. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping, particularly in a fast-paced production environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks while adapting to changing priorities and work schedules. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure, especially in resolving discrepancies and ensuring inventory accuracy.
