About the Role: Aquila is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The DevOps Engineer will work at the direction of, and with, technical staff to design and implement systems architectures, CI/CD automation, and other components of full lifecycle DevSecOps processes which are core to the team's success. In addition to design and implementation of architectures, the DevOps Engineer shall support day-to-day operations of DevSecOps systems as well as episodic support of demonstrations and other event-based deliverables. There are a few requirements for the position: Must be a U.S Citizen - Authorized to Work in the US - Must have an Active Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify) Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.) Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts. Required Skills (Must Have): Kubernetes Docker Containerization Jenkins or a similar automation system Nexus or Artifactory CI/CD with containers/Cloud technologies Automation within the development processes Build infrastructure GIT Java build tools Python build tools Linux (sysadmin skills) VMWare infrastructure Experience acting as technical lead Security + certification Ansible Must Have: Security+ Certification 10 years - Automation within the development processes 10 years - Build infrastructure Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance) Hardware Experience: 10 years - VMware infrastructure (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, etc.) Programming Experience: 10 years - Java 10 years - Python Programming/Scripting Soft Skills: Leadership and Management Collaborate closely with and provide constructive feedback to team members across a range of skill sets and technical areas. The candidate will be required to take ownership of problems and provide solutions, possibly leading small teams both technically and with light project management.
