This recruitment is open to current King County career service employees who have completed their initial probation and will be used to fill one Special Duty Assignment (SDA) position. This special duty assignment is a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge, develop new skills, and collaborate with talented professionals in the Road Services Division. About Us: Road Services is a division of King County's Department of Local Services. We're about more than just roads"”we're about building connections and fostering innovation. Our Planning and Grants team is a close-knit, collaborative unit within the Strategic Business Operations Section. We're looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven professional to join us. In this role you will: Independently build, monitor, and update reports, databases, and tracking systems to ensure regulatory compliance, completeness, and accuracy. Collaborate with experts: Work with planners, engineers, financial team members, and other subject matter experts from diverse work groups to enhance transparency and effective data management. Drive process improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to boost quality and efficiency within the unit. This assignment is ideal for someone who excels in research and problem-solving. Additionally, excellent interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused amidst competing priorities are essential to this role.
