Role: Manufacturing Engineer (3D Modelling and Assembly) Location: Pineville, North Carolina, USA (Office Based - 5 days a week) Hours: 40 hours per week We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Manufacturing Engineer proficient in 3D modelling software (SolidWorks) with hands-on experience in assembly work. Reporting to the Global Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will bridge the gap between design and production, ensuring our products are both innovative and manufactured to Western Global's standards. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient with strong attention to detail to produce accurate information. Key Responsibilities: 3D Modelling and Design: Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar. Collaborate with the design team to develop and refine product designs. Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly. Assembly and Production: Participate in the assembly of prototypes and final products on the shop floor. Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues, providing technical advice where necessary. Provide feedback to the design team based on hands-on assembly experience. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet design specifications and standards. Implement and maintain quality control processes to improve product reliability and performance to ensure our products maintain Western Global's standards. Assist in the design of quality control documentation and manuals relating to our products. Collaboration and Communication: Liaise between the design and production teams to ensure seamless integration of design and manufacturing processes. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met. Review, analyze and interpret customer and supplier feedback and data, making recommendations for continuous improvements. Travel: Due to the nature of our Global business, occasional travel will be required across our locations in the US and Canada as needed. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a Passport for the purposes of this role. What Will Give You the Edge: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience. Proficiency in 3D modelling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Hands-on experience in assembly and manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
