Position Summary As the Associate Principal, Operations, you will be part of a mission-driven and outcomes-oriented organization focused on building world-class schools. You will join a team guided by the belief that building world-class schools depends on delivering operational excellence from the start and will work closely with leadership to ensure that operations are executed at a high level across the organization. You will join a collaborative team of professionals who are relentless in their pursuit of educational excellence. You will receive regular coaching and feedback, and will have opportunities to become a transformative leader within the organization. To help us achieve our vision, we are searching for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience in operations or project management in a related setting. An MBA or graduate degree in a related field is preferred, not required. Ideal candidates will have a creative and solutions-oriented mindset, experience designing systems and infrastructure for a growing organization, and a foundational belief that every child deserves a world-class education. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing a deep understanding of Bold's goals, vision, and values and how they guide our work Collaborating with leadership across the organization to set objectives and drive progress toward goals Leading and developing a high-performing, school-based operations team to achieve ambitious results Developing and managing plans to scale operations and infrastructure as the organization grows Collaborating with school leaders to ensure high levels of excellence in all areas of school operations including: facilities management, health and safety, student enrollment and records, transportation, meal service, technology, procurement, family communication, scheduling, and event logistics Supporting the hiring, onboarding, coaching, and evaluation of operations staff; strategically managing the team's priorities, communicating regularly and effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrating a high level of ownership and accountability Providing high level project management for critical initiatives at both the organizational and school levels Contributing to a school environment that is joyful, engaging, and rigorous, and in which students love learning Modeling Bold's core values and building a positive student and team culture across the school Demonstrating a mission-first mindset to ensure all decisions and actions are rooted in ensuring that all students excel Qualities of Bold LeadershipExcellent performance on our team is defined by the competencies below, aligned to our Team Impact Rubric: Role Model: Exemplifies values, leads by example; operates within team structures; seeks out opportunities to support the team. Successful candidates should: 5+ years experience in operations and project management in a K-12 or related setting Operational leadership experience and the ability to inspire and coach a team to high levels of performance Hold a Bachelor's degree with an outstanding record of achievement and leadership; MBA or graduate degree in a related field preferred Start Date The start date for this position is flexible. Compensation Bold Charter School offers highly competitive compensation, in the top range of comparable positions across New York City charter schools. The starting salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
