Our nourishing, seasonal-inspired menu is designed to bring out the very essence of every ingredient, while our space focuses on life's simple pleasures"”natural finishes, abundant space and light, and comforting food and drinks. We are looking for a talented and experienced shift supervisor(s) to join our team!  We are looking to hire one full-time or two part-time supervisors.  Please indicate your preference and availability when you submit your application. Description The Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing that all activities are in accordance with standardized restaurant policies in order to provide efficient, friendly service and profitable operations. Responsibilities Include, but not limited to: • Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit, a respectful work environment, and good morale among employees • Delivering excellent customer service including personally greeting, seating and checking in on guests • Leading the training of new employees, providing ongoing training to employees on the team • Resolving complaints from customers in a polite, friendly manner • Assistance with inventory and ordering • Participating in weekly meetings with the owner/GM and other team members about refining restaurant operations • Completing duties for other employees (e.g., bartender, server, barista etc.) when necessary because of an unexpected absence or extra volume Qualifications • High school diploma, GED certificate, or demonstration of sufficient reading and math skills to read manuals and prepare computer reports as required; hospitality and restaurant management certification or college degree preferred • Previous restaurant experience working a variety of different FOH positions is required; previous supervisory and staff oversight experience much preferred. • Availability to work evenings and weekends is required. • Extensive upscale dining experience in NYC preferred • Strong beverage knowledge and experience behind the bar is a plus Sereneco is an equal employment opportunity employer.
