Mechanical Assembler - 2nd shift

Hiring Opportunity: Gahanna, Ohio Our client is looking for a 2nd shift Mechanical Assembler who will assist them at their location in Gahanna. Our client is total solutions provider to OEMs that offer comprehensive, in-house precision sheet metal fabrication and precision machining capabilities. Job Requirements Responsibilities: -Mechanical Assembly of a variety of simple to complex metal cabinetry to supply essential businesses. (not an 'assembly line' environment) -On the job training provided, specific to the product being assembled. -Will work in tandem with an experienced and seasoned Assembler already on staff. -Must be focused, driven to produce precise 'show room quality' finished products. -Versatile, fast paced department requiring dependable and accountable team members who exhibit results that are consistently 'a cut above' in accuracy & detail orientation. -Supports various depts.. on shop floor including but not limited to: Fabrication, Hardware Insertion, Shipping / Packaging, Powder, etc. -On the job + Cross training provided. Required: -2-3 yrs. knowledge + experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment. -Ability to read and accurately interpret prints +/or schematics. -Mechanically inclined: demonstrated experience in ability to use a variety of power/air and hand tools including riveting. -Ability to lift between to 10-75 lbs. with regularity. -Experience in application of the following: Silicone + Butyl Sealants; Gaskets etc. -Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull and push during course of an 10 hour shift. -High attention to detail & fine tactical ability. -Organizational skills. -Pallet jack experience -Ability to take direction; work independently as well as a part of a team. -Contribute to team dynamics, offering solutions to move projects forward.
