The Item Planner of Blank Products is responsible for building pre-season bottoms up item plans which support both the merchandising and financial strategies of the company. In this role, you will drive item level forecasting and work very closely with cross functional partners in merchandising and production to execute efficient inventory management. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop item level sales plans that are aligned with the product and sales strategy Work with external customers on inventory projections within wholesale Analyze blank performance to provide insights for inventory efficiency opportunities Manage wholesale inventory requests for Hot Market Opportunities Ensure item plans are in alignment with the topside plan and the on order ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESInventory Control Collaborate with the Merchandise Planner ahead of upcoming seasons to help inform item level plans. React to market changes and continuously manage in-season inventory adjustments reconciled with our open-to-buy. Optimize reordering and production; problem solve risks and/or opportunities with cross functional teams (Merchandising, Marketing, Fulfillment) to ensure on time delivery. Track safety stock, manage excess inventory and determine ways to prevent overproduction. Work with Operations on timely inventory transfers between web and wholesale Own communication with Operations around truck deliveries and receipt timing Order Management Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful product delivery Sends all purchase orders (PO) to vendors in a timely manner ensuring they are received by their due date. Uses a shipment tracking tool (On Order Report) to communicate with Merchandising or vendors. Participates in weekly Planning meetings to ensure POs in the system match plans in units, costs, and delivery. Works with Finance to ensure purchase order invoicing and billing are complete in a timely manner. Communicates inbound timing with internal and external partners. Shares BOLs, packing lists, and other inbound resources with relevant teams General Duties Participates in company meetings/events/classes if necessary. Support departmental or cross-functional on projects when it is requested. Other related duties as assigned. QualificationsWhat are we looking for in an Item Planner at HOMAGE? At least 2 years experience as an Item Planner in the retail field Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Detailed oriented with an ability to complete tasks quickly and accurately Deadline-driven with a commitment to to accuracy Highly analytical with a passion for numbers Curious, self-motivated individual who can problem solve challenges and anticipate potential blockers Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confident presentation skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively HOMAGE will make reasonable accommodations for team members for known physical or mental limitations unless the accommodation would impose an undue hardship on the operation of our business.
