Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Position Description The Assistant Director of Nursing will manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department. The ADON supports the overall operation of the facility, assuring adherence to company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations, in order to promote the highest quality care for our residents and patients. Qualifications: Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): Registered Nurse in good standing with required current state license. Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience. Experience in Long Term Care Nursing. One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred. Must have a current/active CPR certification. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment. Ability to work under stressful conditions. Point Click Care (PCC) experience a plus. Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents Responsible for coordinating infection control Responsible for educating the staff Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication withal levels of nursing staff 24 hours on call Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staff Oversee daily staffing process Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs
