Code Red Consultants is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage projects and client/AHJ relationships and provide professional assistance on complex fire and life safety issues through code consulting, fire protection design, and fire & life safety special inspections and testing services. Ideal candidates will be a "seller/doer" with at least 10 years' experience in the Fire & Life Safety field and a desire to manage projects, interface with clients, and mentor and train entry level consultants. What You Will Do: Serve as project manager on projects & project phases. Continually execute core project management responsibilities, while reviewing other project managers assisting with their book of work. Prepare complex deliverables when necessary & present complex compliance approach & alternative compliance methods to clients & AHJs. Serve as a technical resource to others in the office in area(s) of focus with most technical involvement in a peer review capacity. Meet regularly with team leads relative to workload management & forecasting. Perform contract review & negotiation. Provide leadership on key client relationships where additional CRC personnel are involved. Cross-sell entire breadth of CRC services. What You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, architectural, or industrial engineering from an accredited college or university. A degree in Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) is preferred. 10+ years of fire protection and life safety engineering and code consulting experience or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Prior project and client management experience. Strong technical acumen. Prior technical sales experience. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Self-motivated, and team oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to have difficult conversations. Ability to manage high pressure, deadline driven situations and effectively deal with changes. Strong organizational and time management skills. Professional Engineering licensure is required. Work Environment: Professional office, field/project sites and remote office work.
