Shipping / Receiving Specialist

SHIPPING / RECEIVING SPECIALIST Our client is a global distributor of time and temperature sensitive material; High tech applications - aerospace/composites. SUMMARY An ideal candidate with be a skilled warehouse professional with a record of reliability and efficiency in recent jobs. They will be able to easily move between tasks and complete multiple projects using skills and teamwork. PAY RATE: up to $24/hr depending on skills and experience. BENEFITS AFTER HIRE: 401K program with company match, Health Insurance options, Annual Costco Card, Company Incentive plan, and more SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 6 am -3:00 pm (hours may vary depending on workload) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review all information such as lot numbers, batch numbers, quantities, ship-to addresses, and all other information necessary for shipments to leave correctly Ensure sensitive items have special packing and handling, i.e. Sealed Chemicals, Dry Ice shipments, etc. Retrieve and manage climate controlled items Hazardous Material Disposal Process returns and complete accurate inventory counts as needed. Prepare all regulatory paperwork for Dangerous Goods and International Shipping Complete the shipping logs at end of day and maintain accurate receipt of inbound materials Processing of value-add services and set-up items in the ERP system QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2 years warehouse experience - International Shipping and/or Dangerous Good Handling experience preferred. Minimum 6 months Forklift Operator experience Work experience using email, basic computer programs and intermediate typing skills. Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task throughout the day. Excellent work ethic with a self-starter attitude WMS (Warehouse Management System) and ERP knowledge..
