The CWS Windows Engineering team is responsible for virtual desktop, thin client and server platforms for Goldman Sachs. The team architects and engineers support the Microsoft operating systems and enterprise products such as Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, and Microsoft SCCM/MECM, third-party enterprise VDI products such as Citrix XenDesktop and XenServer, as well as multiple custom in-house systems management and software delivery platforms. Goldman Sachs is seeking an experienced Project Manager to be part of the Windows Engineering team. The candidate will work on the Production Engineering team helping to manage Windows Engineering deliverables across our critical in-house developed systems. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: How You Will Fulfill Your Potential Manage complex and high-priority development projects, and manage sponsors and stakeholders with competing priorities, resourcing levels and time constraints Work independently to manage multiple complex projects. Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams including UX designers, developers, testers, business divisions and leadership to implement features for global roll-out Identify and manage program blocking issues, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical or operational constraints Guide the project team(s) to follow the teams project management best practices Drive the project team(s) to accomplish daily activities by actively promoting prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each project phase or sprint. Assist the project team(s) in identifying continuous improvement opportunities and efficiencies Work with the broader Windows Engineering teams to define product goals and longer-term strategic vision Develop, implement, and manage new services and tools, and strategic programs to support and enhance stakeholder engagement, communication and feedback Be obsessed with user-centric design and delivering the best user experience Assist with the investigation and root cause resolution for escalations. Basic Qualifications 7+ years of experience in information technology project management Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members Proactively identify efficiency and design improvements to existing systems and processes Experience or knowledge of Waterfall project management and Agile delivery framework Ability to multi-task across projects with different priorities Preferred Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in business or technical field ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS: ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
