What We Do - Accountabilities Assists the design of a line that supports the brand essence through sketching ability, understanding of brand positions, and innovative and creative input. Assists with the compilation and analysis of trend, style, consumer and market intelligence between internal and external partners, and is utilized in the creation of product. Support design processes to promote speed to market concepts, stay on calendar and maximize continuous merchandising opportunities. Essential Functions Work with product team to design new products from concept through production, ensuring delivery in line with critical dates, product specifications and profitability goals. Sketch, render and model concepts from conception to sales-ready samples, generating innovative ideas and design solutions. Maintain knowledge of market and consumer trends. Collaborate and communicate with internal teams to proactively manage timelines and facilitate processes for your design work. Support all PLM system process and procedures per company and brand requirements. Create spec sheets and tech packs for manufacturing teams. Collaborate closely with development teams to build product with innovative materials and consumer function in mind. Preferred Qualifications & Education Bachelor's degree in Design or related field preferred 2+ years design experience in footwear, fashion, or related industry Strong sketching skills Understanding of performance footwear construction and materials, a plus Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to seek out upcoming trends in the sport category Proficient in Adobe Illustrator Physical Requirements and/or Environment Cube Sam Edelman is part of Caleres Inc., a diverse portfolio of 15 global footwear brands including Famous Footwear, Naturalizer, Vionic, Dr. Scholl's, Allen Edmonds, and many more.
