Senior Technical Designer (Women's Contemporary)

Client Overview: Our client is a timeless and chic women's advanced contemporary brand Senior Technical Designer Responsibilities: • Follow T&A calendar to help fit styles from SMS through PP to TOP and QC stage. • Update tech packs, send comments to overseas factories, liaise with production/QC team on dissemination of domestic fit comments. • Spec garments and provide graded specs to domestic grader/marker and to overseas factories. • Work with patternmakers, grader/marker and development teams to obtain and maximize accuracy of consumptions, fabrications, trims, processes. • Follow production from SMS fitting stage through PP, TOP to delivery at warehouse. • Liaise with specialty category consultants on the production of their seasonal capsules to ensure fit, quality standards and timely arrival. • Work with production and raw materials teams to prioritize around fabric and trim arrival to factories. • Schedule and manage weekly and seasonal production fittings. • Oversee selection and maintenance of fit model. Approve fit model agency invoices. • Direct daily communication with vendors and contractors. • Update WIP chart and tech packs • Participate in weekly WIP meetings • Create and maintain fit guides for selected categories. Senior Technical Designer Qualifications: • College degree, preferably in fashion-related field. • Advanced contemporary experience • 6-8+ years' experience in technical design, working with all types of fabrications • Intimate knowledge of garment construction and patterns. • Ability to work well independently • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems required, with RLM experience preferred.
