As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team. Job Summary Atlantic Mechanical is seeking an experienced and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our team. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing plumbing systems in custom residential homes. You will work closely with project managers, foremen, and other trades professionals to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all plumbing-related tasks. Duties Install plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and equipment for new residential construction projects. Will do rough-in and trim work for custom homes. Will perform gas work. Install water heaters, disposals, faucets, and other plumbing fixtures. Diagnose plumbing issues and provide solutions based on safety and industry best practices. Should be competent with the use of pro press tools. Will receive orders at jobsites Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Communicate with project manager and master plumber to ensure projects are done accordingly. Work efficiently with other team members, ensuring that projects meet deadlines and quality expectations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns or questions. Stay current with plumbing codes, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter License and current backflow certification 3+ years' experience in the plumbing industry in service and installation Experience with new residential construction projects Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics a plus. Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, wrenches, soldering equipment, and pressure testers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying conditions (e.g., outdoors, confined spaces).
