Cafe Manager, day-time

Responsibility of the Caf Manager includes, but not limited to: We expect candidates to have a strong problem-solving ability, well-developed soft-skills, think on their feet, and keep track of all that is going on even as they assist management with planning for future growth. Suggesting new menu items based on customers' preferences and feedback. Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers Exceptional customer service skills including ability to resolve customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service, where due. Preparing weekly work schedules for staff and finding suitable replacements in case of staff absence. Ensuring that all caf expenses are within budget and identifying ways to decrease operational costs. Receiving delivered caf supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered. Taking inventory of caf supplies and ordering new stock as needed. Recruiting, training, and supervising caf staff Caf Manager Requirements: High school diploma, a bachelors degree or certification in business administration or business management is advantageous. 2 to 5 years experience in a similar position in a fast casual food & beverage service operation. Manager ServeSafe and ABC RBS certified Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations Ability to think on their feet, innovate and resolve problems. Well-developed soft skills and people skills are highly desirable. Competent to remain calm under pressure Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exemplary management, communication, organizational and time management skills. Ensure a safe, hygienic, healthy environment Ensure complete compliance with all associated laws and regulations. Strong business acumen and able to innovate, improve, think ahead and be keenly analytic. Carry out weekly analytics and submit reports, suggesting improvements. Able to handle prolonged periods of standing. Ability to lift 15-50 pounds at a time This is a full-time post. Attendance will be required in line with the business requirements, including at weekends, holidays and in the early mornings as well as evenings.
