Project Superintendent Job Num: 57104 h5Job DescriptionJob Title: Project Superintendent Department: U.S. Office - Project Site Job Type: Full-time FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Project Manager Supervision: Yes Pay Range: $72,000-$130,000 Project in Sunbury, OH for 1 year project Summary Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Superintendent oversees on-site construction operations, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise all phases of construction activities. Set up the project site office, including necessary permits, notices, safety regulations, and sanitary facilities. Direct field personnel, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project completion on schedule and within specifications. Maintain and update the construction schedule, identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Order materials and coordinate inspections as needed. Promote job site safety and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures. Prepare and manage submittal logs based on project specifications. Communicate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders regarding submittals and schedule impacts. Assist the Project Manager in tasks related to change requests and manage responsibilities in their absence. Ensure timely completion of all project close-out documents. Schedule and document required construction meetings. Solicit subcontractor and supplier proposals before submission deadlines. Manage and submit building permit applications and follow up on approval processes. Monitor construction quality, schedule, and budget during all project phases. Document progress and quality for all subcontractors and suppliers. Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and employees. Required Knowledge and Abilities Minimum of 5 years' experience in general contracting and project management for industrial construction projects larger than 50,000 sqft. Thorough understanding of construction plans, specifications, and standard practices. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. Effective organizational and analytical abilities. Leadership and negotiation skills with a strong ethical mindset. Willingness to travel extensively and relocate as needed. Other Requirements Strong technical knowledge of construction. Ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, plans, and instructions. Basic arithmetic skills and proficiency in planning and organization. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Valid U.S. driver's license. Environmental and Physical Demands Ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and accessing rooftops. Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Push and pull objects weighing 60-80 pounds on wheels. Work includes sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Use of phones and standard office equipment. Education and Experience Any combination of education and experience providing the necessary knowledge and skills. Minimum of 5 years' progressively responsible field experience in industrial projects as a Prime Contractor.
