Description Compliance Manager, Latin America Natixis Investment Managers International Distribution is responsible for cross-border asset gathering for Natixis Investment Managers and its investment management affiliates. The team carries out its asset-gathering mission by marketing and distributing the investment expertise of its affiliated investment managers to investors through a network of business development units ("BDUs") in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. This is a hybrid position based in our Boston, MA office. The Compliance Manager will lead the compliance program for Latin America with a scope that includes; all in-country Latin America business units (Mexico, Uruguay and Colombia), Natixis Investment Managers, LLC, an unregulated US entity which employs support staff for the Latin American/ US Offshore business and partnerships with the US Distribution Compliance team. What you will do: Ensure maintenance and execution of industry-leading compliance standards Develop, maintain and administer local policies and procedures for sales offices as business and regulatory status evolves. Provide compliance advice on new business initiatives impacting new distribution channels, types of marketing activities, product initiatives, new countries, etc. Oversee and conduct review of marketing materials for the Latin America markets (e.g., customized materials, local advertising, website, social media) and review materials produced by the Solutions team (fund analytics, comprehensive portfolio evaluations, etc.), Devise and execute an approach to implementing global procedures locally (Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions, Whistleblowing, Code of Ethics) Provide expertise to AML-CTF related controls performed on distributors (KYD documentation, country risk reports, etc.) Partner with internal teams to develop, maintain and administer a Control Plan Maintain local licensing and provide management with regulatory updates and industry standards Hold any official licenses (MLRO or registered compliance officer) with local regulators, as required and carry out any regulatory filings Lead local audits and regulatory exams Provide regular reporting to and/or for use by senior colleagues at boards / audit committees / CRICC and partner with US Distribution Compliance What you will bring: Advanced degree in business or law, required A minimum of 10 years of compliance experience with one or more fund managers - ideally of mix of both large and small firms with some hands-on Latin American distribution experience Established contacts with regulators, other compliance professionals and advisers Experience working with global teams Exposure to a wide range of clients and mastery of the key asset classes, investment strategies and delivery vehicles (pooled funds and separate accounts) Knowledge of some or all of the following subjects is desirable: fund operations, investment/operational risk management, anti-money laundering regulations, distribution compliance and marketing-related matters Familiarity with FINRA and SEC marketing and advertising rules Strong management and interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills Ability to work autonomously while also being a strong team member Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, required FINRA Licenses SIE, Series 7 and 24, preferred Who we are: We put the best interests of our clients, employees, communities, and environment first in everything we do.
