Your responsibilities will include: Inspecting, reconditioning, and repairing vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety Collaborating with a team to solve technical problems efficiently Building experience across a variety of domestic and foreign vehicles Upholding high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization Join a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and motivation. As an Automotive Technician at CarMax, you will work alongside skilled professionals, tackling challenges, meeting deadlines, and achieving great results. Qualifications include: Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, or heating and air conditioning Knowledge of health and safety practices Manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle heavy objects and extended periods of walking or standing Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment Effective communication skills and attention to detail A valid driver's license Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications In California, Certified Technicians (Mechanical Associate 4) are required to maintain ASE Certification in Engine Repair (A1), Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), and Heating Air Conditioning (A7). For Master Certified Technicians (Mechanical Associate 5), ASE Certification is required in Engine Repair (A1), Transmission/Transaxle (A2), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Electrical (A6), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), and Engine Performance (A8).
