We are seeking a dynamic and motivated New Business Development Manager. In this role, you will create a comprehensive business plan to capture and expand market share within our division, focusing on clients with sales potential exceeding $0.5 million annually. You will be responsible for generating new account revenue in alignment with organizational targets, aiming for a minimum of $2 million in your first year and $6 million annually in subsequent years. Your primary responsibilities will include: Identifying and pursuing high-potential new accounts with a focus on maximizing sales dollars and gross profit. Developing strategic relationships and maintaining a pipeline of promising clients to transition to Territory Managers. Conducting thorough research on potential customer requirements, menu designs, and competitor offerings to effectively position our services as value-added solutions. Collaborating with Category and Segment Specialists to formulate compelling presentations and pricing strategies for prospective accounts. Overseeing the onboarding process for new accounts, including completing credit applications and coordinating with our Customer Solutions team. Utilizing our IT tools to track opportunities and maintain effective communication with District Sales Managers to share market insights. Participating selectively in the SOS process for recently opened accounts to mitigate churn risks and ensure client satisfaction. Building and nurturing ongoing relationships with key decision-makers and leveraging your industry contacts. Attending sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events to network and uncover new business opportunities. Sharing your expertise in account development and sales techniques with Territory Managers during annual training sessions. Education/Training: A High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Related Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sales is required, with at least 3 years of experience opening accounts greater than $0.5 million, preferably in the foodservice industry. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record in converting leads into high-value clients are essential. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: You must demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills, along with the ability to build constructive relationships. Presentation skills are vital as you will be required to present to diverse audiences. A results-driven mindset and the capacity to work independently while managing multiple deadlines are crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. The position may require overnight travel for training, meetings, or other company events. Compensation: The expected base salary for this role is between $75,000 and $120,000, with potential for additional incentive compensation.
