Upscale Casual Restaurant Cooks

Job Summary: Our upscale casual seafood restaurant is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality seafood dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional kitchen, a passion for food, and a strong commitment to quality. Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook a variety of seafood dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely and efficient manner • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to our recipes and standards of quality • Keep the kitchen area clean and organized at all times • Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed • Work with the kitchen team to develop new menu items • Collaborate with the front of house team to ensure a positive customer experience Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • At least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen • Strong knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds Preferred: • Experience working in an upscale casual restaurant environment • Knowledge of seafood sustainability practices This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
