In this job you will assist Mechanic IIs and IIIs to diagnose, adjust, repair and maintain Automation equipment. Duties and Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and complete appropriate documentation. • Gain familiarization with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment • Obtain general knowledge of Industrial Power 3 Phase 480V and industry accepted electrical safety practices for testing energized circuits. • To assist other maintenance team members with duties/repairs of equipment consistent with level of experience and training Minimum Qualifications • Basic knowledge of Industrial Power 3 Phase 480V and industry accepted electrical safety practices for testing energized circuits. • General understanding of PLC and VFD controlled machinery. • Efficient in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components. • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings. • Proper use of power tools and measuring devices--must provide all basic hand tools required to maintain automated equipment. • Must be able to work at heights up to 110 ft. • Able to access assets in the structure using ladders (ladder weight limit of 300 lbs) • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows based operating systems. • Experience welding with MIG, TIG, or Stick a plus. • Knowledge of ABB/SEW drive technology a plus. • Experience with various Machine Shop equipment a plus Skills and Abilities • Constant- seeing, hearing, sitting • Frequent- standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching, gripping of items 20 lbs. and under • Occasional- carrying and lifting items over 60lbs. • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
