Bridging Innovation to Cure "Developing and manufacturing your cell therapies from benchtop to bedside" Job Summary Cellipont Bioservices is growing, and we are looking for a Director, Supply Chain, who believes in the potential of bridging client's discoveries to patient cures and who want to challenge the status quo and take Cellipont and its clients to the next level. The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for leading the supply chain organization for Cellipont Bioservices in The Woodlands, TX. This individual will report to the Vice President, Operations & Site Head. The Director, Supply Chain directs all facets of supply chain management including, but not limited to, purchasing, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management and control, material forecasting, functional capacity planning and sourcing, S&OP planning, and financial costing. This includes the deployment of common systems, improved processes and advanced technology to drive continuous improvement in supply chain optimization. The Director, Supply Chain, is also responsible for ensuring the activities of all assigned personnel result in the successful, timely and cost-effective processing of orders to ensure customer and stakeholder satisfaction. The Role Actively participate in developing strategies, plans, and tactics to drive best-in-class demand and supply planning, inventory accuracy and service levels. Develop and lead 5S projects to improve organization of storage areas Promotes and creates operational effectiveness and efficiencies in assigned areas to improve financial performance. Partners with site leadership in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives related to Supply Chain activities. Liaise with operations, project managers, business development and clients in all aspects of procurement, receipt, warehousing and supply of supplies. Develops and implements an appropriate site procurement process that optimizes inventory and working capital and concurrently links with finance and business development to ensure a process of business recovery of cost changes as appropriate. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement. Develop and continuously improve supplier programs. Work with cross-functional teams to develop enhancements and implement an appropriate process for capacity planning and S&OP. Manage buying/planning function to ensure effective work order/purchase order creation and maintenance. Manage strategic purchasing function in vendor selection and negotiation to obtain most favorable pricing, service, and terms Is responsible for driving performance improvements in the key indicators for supply chain optimization. Design and use metrics to improve processes and ensure optimal use of systems Develops and sustains customer relationships through direct interaction, responsiveness and accountability. Ensures compliance with all corporate and applicable regulatory SOP and cGMP guidelines. Manages processes to optimize quality performance and on-time delivery to ensure customer satisfaction. Develops and manages the annual budget for Materials Management. Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback and maintains a safe and professional work environment. The Candidate Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field with 10+ years of direct industry experience within a cGMP environment Experience within Cell Therapy CDMO environment highly preferred Minimum of 5+ years of direct management experience required Possess extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems Possess knowledge of cGMP regulations and practices Must possess the ability to bridge relationships with a variety of individuals and between various departments and levels of the organization CPM and or APICS certification a plus Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Certification is desired Well organized, detail-oriented, possess ability to multi-task and prioritize. Self-motivated, disciplined, focused, and works well under pressure. Must be dependable and show initiative to improve the overall throughput and financial goals of the organization. Must possess and demonstrate strong motivational and leadership qualities. Possess and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Possess excellent proactive problem-solving analytical and negotiation skills. Possess ability to create a team-based environment and collaborate cross functionally Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in Microsoft Projects, Visio, and preferred. Ability to work flexible hours and inconsistent schedules as necessary to meet production demands and timelines.
