Position Type: Support Staff/Lunchroom/Playground Supervisor Date Posted: 4/12/2023 Location: Lisle Elementary School Times/Days: Monday-Friday (Every day of student attendance)- Times will vary beetween 10:30am-1:30 pm. Start Date: As soon as Background Check has been completed Pay Rate: $19.89/hourLunchroom/Playground SupervisorQUALIFICATIONS: 1.High School diploma or equivalent 2.Strong personal skills which foster good working relationships with students and staff members 3.Aptitude and physical ability to perform assigned duties RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Escorts children to and from the classroom, the playground, and lunchroom 2.Supervises students on the playground and in the lunchroom with special attention given to special needs students, and students with behavior problems 3.Assists students with equipment on the playground 4.Assists students with utensils, etc. in the lunchroom 5.Assists students, including picture taking if requested, on special days (i.e., Citizen of the Month) 6.Remains in the classroom with the students for recess during inclement weather 7.Assumes other responsibilities within the scope of the job as determined by the building administrator, or any duties assigned in extraordinary situations Physical Demands The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud at times. Standing approximately 60% and for periods of up to 30 minutes required. Walking approximately 40% for periods of up to 30 minutes. Must be able to navigate a school playground area, which might include wood chips, grass, concrete, or other similar surfaces.
