Job Title: Project Superintendent - Heavy Commercial and Industrial Electric Company Name: Quality Plus Services Inc. Salary: $46-$53/hr Full Job Description Quality Plus Services Inc. (QPS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Superintendent to manage and oversee heavy commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety standards, managing resources, coordinating with field teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Safety Management: Lead safety initiatives and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols. Meet with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team regularly when on-site, at least once a week, to review and address safety concerns. Resource Management: Manage tools, equipment, and resources efficiently. Ensure unused items are returned to the shop or rental company. Discuss procurement of new items with the Project Manager (PM) before ordering. Crew Scheduling & Coordination: Create and manage crew schedules. Collaborate with the PM before any layoffs or hiring decisions. Ensure proper skill utilization and forecast manpower needs. Project Planning & Execution: Work with the PM to develop and enforce a site-specific schedule. Ensure that weekly work plans are completed and submitted on time. Oversee small project pricing, change order tracking, and pricing, ensuring all submissions are reviewed by the PM. Quality Control & Accountability: Enforce accountability among field teams to meet quality standards and deadlines. Conduct training and provide mentorship to team members. Maintain and track manpower utilization to ensure efficiency. Subcontractor Coordination: Schedule and manage subcontractors, ensuring they follow safety rules and meet project expectations. Facilitate communication between subcontractors and the project team to ensure project goals are met. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including change orders, bids, and project updates. Pass down important project information to Foremen and General Foremen (GF). The ideal candidate should possess: Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a supervisory role in heavy commercial electrical construction. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction site management, electrical installations, and safety protocols. Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage resources, schedules, and personnel efficiently. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, subcontractors, and clients. Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues on-site, maintaining project momentum. Certifications: OSHA certifications or equivalent safety training preferred. Driver's License: Must hold a valid driver's license and be eligible under the company's vehicle policy. Background Check: Must pass a background check and have no criminal convictions in the past 7 years.
