Req Id: 32493 Job Title: Lecturer - Indianapolis City: Indianapolis Job Description: Job Summary The School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University in Indianapolis, IN, invites applications for multiple full-time, non-tenure track positions of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with teaching responsibilities in areas related to Mechanical Engineering and/or Motorsports Engineering. The initial appointment will be for one year, and based on performance and availability of funds, the position is expected to be continued. Education Successful candidates must exhibit a passion for teaching undergraduates and are expected to be highly motivated instructors. The candidate must have at the minimum an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with comparable professional or teaching experiences in a college or university environment. Preference is for candidates to have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field. Experience Preferred: Demonstrated successful college-level teaching backgrounds, as well as experience mentoring young engineers; and demonstrated experience in student-centric interactive teaching styles (e.g., cooperative learning methods, flipped classrooms, etc.) as well as effective use of technology in the classroom. Candidates must have the ability to work in the US without immigration sponsorship from Purdue University. FLSA Status Exempt
