About the Physician Position This is a full-time position and reports to the Associate Medical Director. The Physician will provide comprehensive direct primary and urgent care within their scope. Following WCC's protocols, policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal requirements for medical services, the Physician will be responsible for delivering the highest quality of care to our patients. We are open to both part-time and full-time schedules for this position. The Physician will be scheduled primarily Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month required. The exact hours will be determined once a candidate is selected. The selected candidate MUST be new to the LA Care Network. Compensation and Benefits The salary range of a full-time candidate for this position is $220,000 - $260,000. Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits: • Medical insurance (HMO and PPO options available) • Dental insurance (HMO and PPO options available) • Vision insurance • 403b retirement plan • 10 vacation days for first year employees • 12 paid holidays • 8 days of paid sick leave • Life insurance • Pet insurance • Employee assistance program Essential Position Responsibilities • Provide all necessary Physician services within scope of license, including prescription and distribution of drugs and medical supplies, supervision or treatment and diagnosis of patients in compliance with all requirements for medical services. • Complete documentation related to provision of medical care and thorough review of patient medical history on the Electronic Medical Record. • Assess and refer high risk patients. • Promote healthy lifestyles by advising patients on diet, hygiene and disease prevention. • Meet the standard provider productivity recommended by WCC. • Provide clinical supervision to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. • Continuously monitor and manage problems that require medical follow up. • Attend monthly Practitioner meetings. • Participate in QI program. • Respectfully cares for patients, physicians, staff, vendors, and visitors in ways that reflect the WCC mission and values. • Other responsibilities as assigned. Education and Experience • MUST be new to the LA Care Network. • Primary experience required, internal or family medicine practitioner preferred. • Licensed to practice medicine in California. • DEA License. • CPR Certification. • Maintain CME as required for certification renewals. • Board Certified preferred. • Familiarity with Epic EHR preferred. Skills • Able to provide an exceptional patient experience. • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment to the organization's mission. • A high degree of cultural sensitivity and the ability to work well with a diverse community. • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites and Epic EHR. • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
