The impact you will have in this role: The AD Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and improvement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve sophisticated business problems. Your Primary Responsibilities: Drive design discussions and own the squad in implementation of automated solutions based on business-driven requirements. Perform design and code reviews to ensure business requirement implementation is achieved without compromising on performance and standard processes. Ability to demonstrate DevOps techniques and practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation and Test-Driven Development to enable the rapid delivery of working code utilizing tools like Jenkins, Cloud bees, Git, etc. Challenge and encourages team members to pick up coding best practices (Modularity, scalability, adaptability). Capability to develop thorough understanding of application over time and be skillful to provide work around and have a vision towards long term solution for automation of manual processes. Ground level day to day co-ordination with squad is needed to ensure risks or dependencies are assessed within application framework right from analysis all the way through build, test, and deployment to ensure smooth delivery. NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience. Min 10+ years of related experience. Talents Needed for Success: 10+ years of Active Development Experience/ Expertise in Java/J2EE Based Applications proven track record with multi-threading, Spring, JDBC/any other ORM framework, Mockito/PowerMockito JUnit frameworks. 7+ years' experience with backend technologies such Oracle and/or any relational databases. Strong database and PL/SQL skills (Oracle, Postgres, Snowflake preferred). Experience with Autosys, Orchestration ETL or Reporting tools is desired. Hands on experience or familiarity with snowflake is an added advantage. Experience in developing and using AWS cloud stack (S3, SQS, Redshift, Lambda, etc.) is a plus. Experience with Apache Kafka (or Confluent Kafka), Kafka APIs and tooling (e.g., Kafka Connect, KStreams, KSQL) is a plus. Problem solving and critical thinking skills needed while designing business solutions. Mentor and empower the team to learn new technologies and to pick up new opportunities to develop skill set for individual growth and to contribute to team's efficiency. Proactive attitude and takes ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion. The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
