Job Description AECOM is seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager based in Ohio to lead and execute multidisciplinary projects with a focus on Federal, Civic/Municipal, Science & Technology, and Higher Education projects in a highly collaborative and design-focused studio. This is a remote opportunity. The role will be responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. Responsible for planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, and identifying and addressing scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects. Job Summary/Core Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: Spearhead the development of deeply rooted and enduring partnerships with AECOM's clients, driving opportunities for future collaboration and growth. Establish collaborative partnerships with our clients early on to align expectations, define working methodologies, engage key stakeholders, and establish timelines for critical decisions. Ensure seamless client communication and internal coordination, including the preparation of comprehensive project documentation. Maintain and nurture positive client relationships as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Assume a prominent role in pivotal meetings and presentations, demonstrating AECOM's expertise and unwavering commitment to client contentment. Support business development efforts in concert with Senior Leadership and a dedicated Business Development Manager to support AECOM's growth objectives. Lead multi-disciplinary project teams in collaboration with client leadership to establish project objectives, develop comprehensive work plans, and achieve targets related to quality, budget, schedule, innovation, and profitability. Project Management: Overseeing a diverse slate of projects across multiple market sectors. Coordinating internal resources and external subcontractors for seamless project execution. Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with financial objectives. Contributing to the definition of project scope and objectives. Creating and monitoring comprehensive project plans. Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs. Implementing a proactive risk management strategy to mitigate project risks. Leadership and Team Management: Efficiently collaborate with all team members to cultivate a positive team atmosphere centered on participation, empowerment, and collective success. Provide proactive mentorship and guidance to project teams to foster the growth and development of multidisciplinary team members. Managing sub-consultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance. Providing leadership experience, including managing client expectations and multi-disciplinary teams. Technical Expertise and Innovation: Reviewing and negotiating contracts, preparing fee proposals, and ensuring technical feasibility. Applying advanced knowledge of architectural planning and design processes, construction documentation, construction administration, and code requirements. Being an innovative problem solver with excellent communication and presentation skills. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field plus six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications: Holding a Master's or Bachelor degree focused on Architecture. Licensed Architect with 15+ years of related industry experience, with minimally the last 7 years spent in a Project Management or Client Leadership focused role. Demonstrating proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and the full suite of MS Office applications. Innovative problem solver with excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Additional Information Sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
