We are committed to raising expectations, providing choices for learning, and removing obstacles to success so that we can guarantee all students achieve their dreams and enthusiastically contribute to their community, country, and world.SUMMARY: This position will research, design, implement, support, maintain, and manage all aspects of the district applications with primary focus on HR, Finance, SIS (Student Information System), LMS (Learning Management System), and the Mapleton website ensuring integrity, security, availability, and interoperability across all systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, implements, documents, supports, and manages application technologies for district information systems, but not limited to:Providing Tier II/III support troubleshooting for software and/or hardware issues addressing IT tickets as assigned. Lead/assist with projects as assigned. Develop, plan, implement, manage, and maintain security, configuration, availability, and capacity for all application platforms across the district. Proactively develop standards and best practices that allow for the continual improvement, data integrity, automation, and optimization of all district application information systems. Develop, implement, manage, and maintain existing and new data, application, user account integrations to other systems and platforms. Oversees the implementation of required hardware and software components for approved applications, coordinating tests of the application system to ensure proper performance. Proactively manage application vulnerability remediation and patch management for all district systems. Manage the Infinite Campus Student Information System including:Beginning and end of year tasks. Course and grading system setup. Providing data analysis and participating in annual state and federal reporting. Proactive review of usage to coach users towards best practices. Manage the Canvas Learning Management System including:Creation and management of content (including User, Term, and Course Management). Troubleshooting sync issues with grades, courses, and other elements integrating with other platforms. Proactive review of usage to coach users towards best practices. Participate in meetings, workshops, and/or trainings required to convey and/or gather information required to successfully execute essential performance responsibilities. Assist IT Department in completing any other duties as required. EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in application development and support for large enterprise-class environments. Programming, Microsoft, cloud and/or application industry certification preferred. Experience working in a technical capacity within a school district preferred. TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Advanced knowledge of information systems including network, security, computer, storage, collaboration, and application platforms. Advanced knowledge of Office 365 including overall tenant management, single sign-on management through Azure AD, Exchange online, SharePoint online, and Teams management. Advanced knowledge and use of Powershell, JSON, Perl, Python, etc. Experience developing and managing multi-media services. Student information system data structures (Infinite Campus knowledge a plus). Learning Management System management. Basic knowledge of the student enrollment and registration process for K - 12. Database experience, specifically relational databases. Ability to analyze and solve complex technical and/or business problems.
