Systems Engineer

Job Title: Systems Engineer Location: Downtown Columbus, Ohio (Onsite) Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 About the Role: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to join our client's team in downtown Columbus, Ohio. In this onsite role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT systems and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance, scalability, and security, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Key Responsibilities: Systems Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement robust IT systems to meet organizational needs. Ensure systems are optimized for performance and scalability. Maintenance and Support: Monitor and maintain existing systems, ensuring uptime and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly. Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to protect against data breaches and system vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and deploy solutions. Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). At least 4 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in system administration (Windows/Linux). Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPNs). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with team members
