Senior Accountant Location:Columbus, Ohio Compensation:Starting at $85,000 Position Type:Full-Time, On-Site Are you a seasoned accounting professional driven by a passion for financial excellence? We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this key role, you will contribute to strategic financial initiatives, support data-driven decision-making, and maintain fiscal integrity across the organization. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Management:Oversee day-to-day general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and precision. Accounts Payable & Receivable:Manage AP and AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Month-End Close:Execute month-end close procedures efficiently, meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy. Journal Entries & GAAP Compliance:Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards. Financial Reporting:Develop and present comprehensive financial statements and detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders. Budgeting & Forecasting:Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to align with the company's strategic objectives. Financial Analysis:Conduct thorough financial analysis to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. Process Improvements:Champion initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency. Tax Coordination & Audits:Oversee tax-related activities and collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance. What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
