Wieland is hiring a Metal Service Center Clerk. The Metal Service Center Clerk will be responsible for elements of getting bar stock to the customer including but not limited to inventory, cutting, packaging and shipping. . This role is located in Roseville, MI and will be fully on-site. Starting Pay: $20.25 Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly Responsibilities Metal Service Center Clerk Responsibilities: Responsible for packaging/crating of all bar stock shipments Maintain a safe and clean work environment Pulls bar-stock as needed for incoming orders Responsible for cutting all production bars for lathe department Operates saws including, but not limited to manual, automatic saw and plate saw Puts incoming material into inventory and records pertinent data Cuts materials for resale orders & production work orders Oversees bar stock inventory to ensure accuracy Provides cut and prepped materials as requested by lathe department Reviews and report orders for weight discrepancies or errors Utilize order management system for proper flow of shipment of products and keep deadlines Loading and unloading of weekly mill flatbed truck Manages adjustments of scrap material Monitors level of supplies needed for crating department Other duties as assigned Metal Service Center Qualifications: 1. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions2. Ability to perform computations3. Ability to work independently4. Ability to make work related decisions based on deadlines and customer specs5. Frequent walking throughout various areas of the office and plant6. Occasional lifting and carrying -up to 40 pounds7.
