Over 80 distribution centers are located across the United States along with a waffle iron manufacturing and refurbishment center in South Bend, Indiana to ensure prompt distribution to all customers.  Job Summary The Class A CDL Driver at Golden Waffles is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of products from our manufacturing facility to various warehouses for distribution. This role requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. The Class A CDL Driver ensures that deliveries are made on time and that all products are handled with care to maintain their quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport products from the manufacturing facility to designated warehouses. Follow delivery schedules and routes as provided by the Logistics Manager, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Assist with the loading and unloading of products, ensuring that all items are handled carefully to prevent damage. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and other essential functions. Report any issues or needed repairs to the Safety & Transportation Manager. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, receipts, and any discrepancies encountered. Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted promptly. Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Ensure all required licenses and certifications are up to date. Maintain effective communication with the Logistics Manager and warehouse personnel, providing updates on delivery status and any potential issues. Represent Golden Waffles professionally at all times, ensuring positive interactions with warehouse staff and other stakeholders. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and securing loads properly. Position Requirements Regional travel with overnight stays. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL driver, preferably in a logistics or distribution environment. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Ability to bend, lift (up to 60 lbs.), climb, stretch, reach, and walk throughout the day. Strong knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations. Excellent driving skills and a strong safety record. Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools effectively. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle physical demands, including loading and unloading products and extended periods of driving.
