Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a high-end restaurant group. Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of multiple upscale dining establishments. This executive role requires a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and leadership skills to ensure the success and growth of the restaurant group Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Direct day-to-day restaurant operations, including staffing, food sourcing, inventory management, and menu development Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards while optimizing workflows and restaurant layouts Strategic Planning Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute long-term strategic plans for growth, including potential franchising initiatives Identify market trends and opportunities for innovation to enhance customer experience and competitiveness Financial Management Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to ensure profitability and cost control Monitor sales, costs, and profitability metrics; develop strategies to improve financial performance Team Leadership Build and mentor high-performing teams across multiple locations, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence Drive recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention strategies Conduct performance evaluations and implement training programs to enhance staff competence Guest Experience Ensure all locations consistently deliver exceptional dining experiences Lead initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and brand loyalty Compliance and Risk Management Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements across all restaurant locations Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field; MBA preferred 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the food service or hospitality industry, with a focus on multi-unit operations Proven success in both full-service and fast-casual restaurant environments Strong financial acumen and experience in financial management and reporting Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in analyzing market trends and driving innovative solutions Additional Requirements Willingness to travel frequently between restaurant locations (50-75% travel may be required) Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Strong understanding of food and beverage trends in the high-end restaurant sector The ideal COO candidate will combine extensive industry experience with a passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences across the restaurant group's portfolio.
