The Just Walk Out (JWO) technology team is hiring an experienced Senior Product Manager Technical to drive new innovations for the Just Walk Out Technology. JWO enables shopping in retail stores with no lines and no checkout. You simply use a credit card to enter the store, take what you want from our selection of fresh, delicious meals and grocery essentials, and leave the store. This checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by the Just Walk Out (JWO) Technology, which automatically detects whether products are taken or returned, and enables shoppers to grab and go from stores ranging from small airport kiosks to massive university stores. Designed and custom-built by Amazonians, JWO's checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by innovative technologies: computer vision, RFID, sensor fusion, and deep learning. Innovation is part of our DNA. We are looking for people who want to join an ambitious team that is responsible for large, complex innovations spanning multiple machine learning, software, hardware, and business teams. The ideal candidate is a tenured product manager, excited about innovations in retail, and can easily earn trust with highly technical teams. The Senior Product Manager will own the end-to-end JWO core tech components and the shopper experience. You will be responsible for working with hardware, software, design, operations, and other teams to expand the magic of JWO technology to a wide array of new selection offered in Amazon's physical stores. You will need to be equally at home understanding and championing the needs of your customers as you are with diving deep on the technology and operational implications of the products you build. You must have a strong track record of successfully launching products. As a tenured Product Manager, you are familiar with the product development lifecycle. You exhibit high proficiency and efficacy in core product management disciplines such as defining user stories, priorities, success metrics, presenting vision that works backwards from customers, and are comfortable driving clarity across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. A successful candidate will combine an ability to Think Big with keen attention to detail. We are looking for a passionate, data-driven decision maker who likes building from scratch, experimenting, and setting high standards. You have a high degree of ownership, and are an excellent written and verbal communicator, who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. Key job responsibilitiesOwn and drive the end-to-end product roadmap for Just Walk Out technology, establishing clear success metrics and KPIs aligned with business objectives. Lead strategic initiatives to enhance the JWO shopping experience, taking full ownership from conception through launch and optimization. Drive data-driven decision making through rigorous A/B testing and experimentation, ensuring statistical validity and measurable customer impact. Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, design, applied science, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive solutions. Define and prioritize product backlog based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility. Collaborate with UX Research to conduct customer discovery, ensuring solutions meet diverse user needs and use cases. Develop and maintain product requirements documentation, ensuring clarity in technical specifications and success criteria. Identify new opportunities for product expansion and feature enhancement based on market research and customer feedback. Present recommendations to senior leadership, backed by quantitative and qualitative data in PRFAQs and Program Reviews. Build consensus across stakeholders while maintaining focus on customer experience and business outcomes. BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree. Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition. Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product. Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product. Experience managing technical products or online services. Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight. Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
