As a Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant and uphold our high standards of service. Responsibilities: Dishwashing: Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety standards. Preparation Assistance: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients, as needed to support the smooth operation of the kitchen. Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including proper storage of clean dishes, removal of trash and recycling, and regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces. Utensil Polishing: Ensure all cleaned dishes, utensils, and glassware are properly dried and polished before storage or use, maintaining a high standard of presentation for table settings and service. Trash Removal: Empty trash bins and recycling containers regularly throughout the shift, disposing of waste in accordance with sanitation guidelines and hotel policies. Assistance with Cleaning Tasks: Support kitchen and dining room staff with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces, to maintain a clean and hygienic environment throughout the restaurant. Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of cleaning chemicals and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to coordinate dishwashing activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely availability of clean dishes and utensils as needed during service periods. Qualifications: Previous experience working as a dishwasher in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, but not required. Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety practices, with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing cleaning needs. Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
